The Samco Machine

The Samco Machine was first invented in Ireland in 1996. Today the machine is sold in many European countries as well as Canada and New Zealand. With innovative design principles and quality parts the Samco Machine has proven its ability to work all over the world in a variety of climatic conditions. It is with this experience and knowledge that the Samco Machine and System is at the forefront of modern farming techniques.

The Samco Machine sows the seed in a growing channel formed by the seeder. It lays a thin layer of degradable plastic film over the soil and then sprays pre-emergence herbicide both inside and outside the plastic for weed control.

Samco manufactures and supplies the Samco 3-in-1 machines and a range of degradable plastic films to customers growing Forage Maize, Ground Ear Maize, Grain Maize and Sweet Corn. There are 3 machine sizes available: 6 Row, 4 Row, and 2 Row.

The 6 Row machine can sow 20 hectares per day and is a suitable machine for large area contractors and farmers.

The 4 Row is sold to contractors and large farmers sowing 10 hectares per day or up to 150 hectares or more per season.

The 2 Row machine is generally sold to sweet corn growers and small farmers. It has an output of 5 hectares per day.
